We have been providing quality service to the Mid-Ohio Valley since 1978, because Tom Huffman had all the determination needed to start a company and turn it into business. He had experience with trusses even before he started the company and has assembled a staff around him that has learned much over the years. We have both licensed drivers and a licensed crane operator on our staff to provide you with full service. Though we have a small staff, we can take care of each

part of your order, and guarantee to do our best.

History

Huffman Truss Inc. was started in the winter of 1977-78, then called Huffman Roof
Truss Products. Tom Huffman and his family built a small fabrication shop located on
Newbanks Road, and officially opened for business on May 10, 1978. The first ever truss
order was sold and delivered to the late Vernon Beymer on Broad Street in Parkersburg.

In the Spring of 1982, Tom purchased 22 acres on Old St. Mary's Pike in pursuit of his
dream of expansion. The following year, Tom and his crew began construction of a new
truss manufacturing factory. The new building was much larger (54' x 100') than the shop
located on Newbanks Road and could produce trusses at a more efficient rate.

On January 1st, 1986 Huffman Roof Truss Products became Huffman Truss Incorporated.
In the same year the company introduced floor trusses to the Mid-Ohio Valley. The city of
Vienna opened Greenmont Hills for construction of new homes. Huffman Truss Inc. Built
trusses for 20 of the 25 new homes constructed through December of 1987.

In 1988, Huffman Truss Inc. began using the Mitek Industries software to design and
engineer their trusses. This allowed trusses to be safely engineered and constructed to
meet the guidelines set by Mitek Industries. This software allows the designer to be sure
he/she is using the proper lumber, webbing, and truss connectors to make the truss as
durable as it can be. This allowed the customer to feel even more safe about the roof they
are standing under.

In 1997, Huffman Truss Inc. began supplying the Mid-Ohio Valley with LVL beams and
I-Joists. This allowed the builder to get items they needed at one stop at Huffman Truss
Inc.

From what started as a small shop located on Newbanks Road, Huffman Truss Inc. has
grown into a quality truss supplying company. With a fleet of four trucks ranging from a
standard one-ton pickup to a long range boom truck, Huffman Truss Inc. can meet any
needs a builder may have. With a crew of ten, Huffman Truss can produce trusses at an
outstanding rate.

Huffman Truss Inc. has been providing quality service to the Mid-Ohio Valley since 1978
and continues to grow each year, constantly expanding to meet the needs of the
advancing builder.
